Hello,

I'm in the process of gathering equipments to start a saltwater tank. For protein skimmer, I think I'll go with ASM (deciding between G1-x, G2, and G3). I searched online and found one website that sells ASM skimmers even cheaper than ebay. It's asmskimmer.com. I wonder that have anyone ever purchased or heard about this store? Do they good (ship the right item, fast, etc.)?

Also, if you know a cheaper place to buy an ASM skimmer, please let me know. Any advice/suggestion to this newbie is welcome :)

Thanks,
Patrick
Recently gathered equipments:
- 50 Gal tank
- Hydrometer
- BioWheel filter
- Ph, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate test kits

I have the G3 and gate valve mod. Great customer service and the best price I could find. Rob at ASMskimmer.com was great. The skimmers are made cheaper than Euro Reef, and it is obvious, however they work great. Best $270 bucks I have spent in a long time.

I recieved the shipment quickly, but the cone was damaged when I got it. The guy at All Seas Marine(Ming?) shipped the new part that day and I had it 2 days later. No questions asked. Great Customer Service all around.

Mind you that the first pic is the skimmer during it's FIRST weeks use. It pulls that out in less than a day now.

Thanks for your reply. I noticed that you put your skimmer in another fish tank. Is there any advantages for doing that? My main tank doesn't have a drilled hole. So most likely I have to get a HOT model. I wish I had a big tank like you :)
