I only paid 37.99 for it at a lfs. I should have done research but it had just come in and I thought with the word pygmy it would be perfect for my nano. I also have a fire shrimp and two sexy shrimp in there. I thought about putting him in the other tank and now wish I had. So far he is just eating my pods which in a ten gallon, you need all you have. If he doesn't change his diet, he'll run out of pods and maybe go after the shrimp (my fear). He is so little and a good looking fish. I would hate to tear the tank down to get him because I like it just the way it is. If he takes one bite of any of my corals I'll be on him. Thanks so much FragMaster, I couldn't find any info on them.
That website is misinformed. Plectranthias inermis won't eat corals. I've kept it with soft, LPS, SPS, clams, etc. It will eat very tiny fish (I wouldn't keep it with a baby neon goby) and it will definitely try to kill any shrimp smaller than its body. Other than that it is 'reef safe'.
I'm very surprised it hasn't eaten Chubosco's sexy shrimp yet.
Well I guess this could be an experiment. If it goes after a sexy I'll move one or the other. My sexys are pretty healthy, as I feed them everyday. If it bothers my fire shrimp, hell well be unleashed. He gives everybody manicures at his little cleaning station by the heater. He is much talked about and loved. Now that I reread this it sounds kinda weird about ol' red but that's how it is around here.
Columbus. I went to Cinci's frag meet last year. Bought a clam that has since died. Nice place, Cincinnati. Any good stores down there that sell corals? If so, I'm on my way. I went to one place down there that was set-up like a greenhouse execpt water ran through the tables. The tables were full of corals. It was really cool. Way out in the country though. Bought a green open brain that is thriving. It was actually in Waynesville now that I found the address (5012 Lytle Road). I just have to go back there when I have a little extra money.
Yeah thats Marine solutions. Joe Perino's place.
Joes a good guy. Love 'em to death. Next time you down there check out his horse rescue center right next to the green house. NICE animals.
Just about fish is ok. Aquatics and exotics is nice, Monfort aquarium is nice, wet pets has some realy nice stuff but he wants an un-Goldy price for them.
