Matt- glad to see you are excited about working at the Academy! Seth is impressed with you- keep up the good work and I predict you'll be hired on when they start grow out next year. I was in touch with the bay area reef club about a behind the scenes tour as well, but nothing came of it- let me know as I would like to meet some more SF reefers as well.

We aren't using natural sunlight on the reef tank because, you are right, it is only a temporary tank (4 years). Right now it uses nine 2000 watt bulbs, and the full scale 225,000 gallon tank will have over 120 2000 watt bulbs, plus natural sunlight. It should be amazing. And people wonder why we are going to have acres of solar panels on the roof! : )

That's great! Seth has been very helpful as he walks me through the baby steps. :D

Rich was thinking of coming down this coming Monday at lunchtime...that work for you? Sfsuphysics, or anyone else in the SF area?

Rich- I totally didn't blow you off! : ) I thought I had followed up with you with an e-mail and never heard back.... Anyway- would love to give a tour, especially with Matt now volunteering. BTW- Love the cuttlefish site- the Simon and Garfunkel track over the baby cuttles feeding is friggin' brilliant : )

Monday works for me, let's do it.
