There is no way I would ever suggest shipping a BTA on a rock.

Can you hang the rock over the tank until the BTA drops off?

Donno.. can I?

Not many things more boring than watching for a big bta blob to drop off of a rock. hehe. Are you talking about hanging the rock over the tank in the air? or just upside down in the water?

I need to drop 2 of these things, but can't seem to get them off the rock. They've been on the same rock for 6 or 8 mos. They just won't budge.

Hang the rock in the air over the tank or just a bucket-o-water if you can keep it warm. It may take hours but they should let go.

B - While sitting the rock over the tank or bucket, you can rub ice cubes along the edge of the foot. I've heard this works, but have never tried it myself.

I think i've resigned to just trying to get some store credit at the LFS for the 2 that are on the same rock. Won't get as much as selling, but also dont have to go through the caca of shipping and so forth.

Get a screwdriver & a hammer, pull the rock out onto a saltbucket top & place the screwdriver close to where he is attached. Tap the rock a couple of times & a little piece of rock will chip off with him.

I have some acro frags ,tan with purple tips, sitting in the tank right now. I will have to look you up on mapquest as I know nothing of Alabama. This week is bad though because of the best ranger competition. I have to work all that which started today and finishes next monday. Let me know what you think.

Dang I found ya. You are waaaaaaaay north of me. With gas at 275 a gallon it is probably not worth it. Sorry, I would have loved to grab one from ya.

That's an excellent idea.

not worth the risk of slipping imo.
the ice cube trick is dead simple and i have done it a few times.

get an ice cube and put it into a food safe freezer bag..
gently stroke the foot of the nem a couple of times for no more than a second at a time....the cold willl irritate the nem and it will start to detatch.
it may take a while but DO NOT over-do the stroking.
:D
