Anyone have tips on how to frag encrusting corals if you can't remove the huge rock it is attached to? Or must you plan to place all encrusting corals on removable pieces of rock?
You can try chisel a piece out in place, but it is going to be messy.
I usually pick an edge and break it off there, or do some pre-planning and have some rubble near the edge so that it will be encrusted over for fragging.
