Ok, gonna get a BTA, actually 2 of them off a rock tonight. Check back as I will be posting pics and descriptions of various means by which to acheive this. let's see what works, and what just plain doesn't.
I've done it many times. Something to get the edge of the foot to start releasing--I use something like a blunt wooden toothpick--and a MaxiJet 1200 to blow the foot loose once it starts to separate from the rock.
Be patient--sometimes it takes an hour to do this--sometimes it goes more quickly. Good luck.
ICE CUBES. Dosent harm them, dosent scrape or cut them, dosent bruise them up. WORKS EVERY TIME.
Just keep rubbing it acrossed thier based around the edges. I promise you 5 minutes or less and he's free from the rock.
MAKE SURE THE CUBES ARE IN A BAG!!!!!!!
Do not make contact for longer than 15 seconds each pass and wait 30 seconds minimum in betwene passes so you dont give him frost bite
Hold it upside down and do it in the water
Iv etried em all. A plastic spoon works the best. Look for one with the foot exposed. When its in a hole forget it. If ya want a green bubble tip drop me a pm and ill hook you up.
U know, I just took the 2 LR that the anemoneies were on to the LFS along with the bta's had him give me a decent store credit, which I traded for a clam, and replaced the 2 LR with 2 of his.
I've tried several methods and what works for me is just pick at an edge of a foot and once it comes up, the anemone will peel right off. Just do it slowly. Quicker and easier imo but whatever method works.
