I am still not where I need to be on my CA reactor. I was at 470 CA and 16 dKH, but I reduced the amount of CO2 and now it has dropped to 350 and 14. How do I get the level of CA up and the level of dKH down? Shouldn't I be aiming for 450 and 12? TIA

Dose some turbo calcium. That should raise the CA and lower the Alk.

With a Ca Rxr, your Ca and alk will move in tandem, because a Ca rxr is a balanced supplementation method.

You should really dial in your Ca rxr based on your desired alk level; THEN adjust Ca with CaCl3. After that, you shouldn't need to do much as the Ca rxr should keep everything balanced.

So, in your case, turn down the CO2 until your alk levels off at 12 dkh, and then add CaCl3 to raise the Ca to where you want it. After that it should keep the proper balance on its own.

Thanks. That is the most understandable anyone has ever put it. I appreciate it very much. Thank you.
