a few weeks a go i put LR in my tank and filled it with water. well i forgot to calibrate my refractometer ..... so it turns out my SG was 1.05 any chance that i killed everything on the rock ... ( pods and such) it was at this salinity for a week and since then iv been slowly lowering it ( its now at 1.03 but im aiming for 1.025 - 1.027

You'll just take the wait and see approach.

I'm glad it was just the LR and not fish or corals.

I would guess that a few things would survive, but you'll just have to see what pulls through. Good luck.

You never know. Some of the stuff on these rocks live through some serious S%$t.

It's a safe bet you've killed some things, but I think many will survive. After you have the s.g. squared away, you might want to repopulate the tank with a few new rocks to get the biodiversity back up.

While working at a LFS, I heard some terriable things. For example, this guy odered 90 pounds of live rock from www.LiveAquaria.com. Premium Fiji and Lalo Rock. He asked how to cure it from our competitor store. The guy said, " Dip it in fresh water for 7 days and then put it into high salinity saltwater for 8 days."

I almost threw up when I heard him say it.

I think your rock will be fine, though some stuff has died, deep down it has some life in it.
