I don't have the link you are looking for but having a degree in chemical processing, I would be very careful using household items to play with pH or alkalinity and the like. If you have no clue as to what a buffer REALLY is, then I suggest you stick to quality products like Seachem buffers and the like. I know what a real buffer is and I do not raise my pH with bicarbonate sodium, even if I know that it will in fact raise the pH.
