I was reading a post and someone suggested putting the gasket on the outside of the glass with the nut. I'm not trying to pick a fight but it is the exact opposite of what I did. From a plumbers standpoint, After the water reaches the threads, the only thing stopping it is a quarter turn of tension on the gasket. I have never put a gasket on the underside of a sink or bathtub so to me it was second nature to put it on the inside with the flange. Am I wrong?
