What is it

There are many knowledgeable people here so I figured I would ask here.

I've been trying to find out what this fish is for over a year.

Any help is appreicated. I saw it in Roatan Honduras.

It appears to be a Flying Gunnard, probably genus Dactyloptena sp. I'm not very familiar with fish off Honduras, but I believe Dactyloptena orientalis is the only species in this genus.

I would say its definately a Flying Gurnard aka sea robin ( see the blue on the pectoral fins?)

I'm probably wrong since fishbase says the distribution of Gunnards don't extend that far east of the Pacific.

Nope they are found in honduras too.
