I wanted to find out what some of you use to scrape the inside walls of your acrylic tanks with. I try to keep mine clean between water changes with a magnetic cleaner but I still need to scrape to get it totally clean at water changes. Any great ideas out there before I start buying useless stuff?

i don't know what kind it is, but i use a dish sponge/scraper that i am told was bought from a local food store and was no more than a buck...

i do know you MUST be careful as some of these do contain soaps, oils, and other nasty things that reef tanks really really don't like......

that said, i have been really lucky with this one and have been using the same one for more than a year, and it looks no worse than the day i got it. i rinse it well after each use.

i also use plastic razor blade looking things to scrape off built up coraline.

I use an old credit cardand credit card, but usually the mag float does the job. You can also buy a razor blade attachment to go onto the mag float if you want to use it to get coraline without getting your hand wet.

i also use a credit card on my small acrylic tank. i have used the kent marine scrapper too, it is plastic like a credit card and works nicely.
