I recently found a brand new Aquatec CDP8800 booster pump for $50 at a garage sale. The problem is that there are no instructions with it. So I went to Aquatec's web site and downloaded the operational and installation instructions. I have it hooked up and running and I am so pleased with the results. My question is does the pump ever turn off on its own. I mean that after the float switch shut off the RO/DI shouldn't the pump reach the max pressure and then shut off?

I don't think their pump has a built-in shut off mechanism, so it will just keep on running until the motor dies. Give them a call and see if it will damage it, or call one of the reef hardware place and see if you can get a pressure shut-off switch for the pump.
