Hey Guys,
A few weeks back, an electronic thermometer from Hellolights kicked the bucket inside my tank. After some invert deaths, I'm starting to suspect that some metals may have leached from the thermometer into the water (the thermometer did not appear to be properly sealed - some water got in, which is why it stopped working). The situation does not appear to be critical, but I'm trying to figure out ways to get any metals out. I don't know how to test for anything besides copper, so it's just a hunch that there are metals in there.
Right now I'm running high grade carbon and chemi-pure in my canister and am doing a series of 25% water changes. Any other advice, particularly in terms of stuff to put in the canister?
Thanks
owenz
