Does anyone out there have 1000 Watt metal halides on their tank? I've got 400 watt halides now and was toying with the idea of going brighter in the future, and I just wanted ot know what experiences people had. Thanks.
I've seen lots of tanks with 1000 watters, and one tank with a few 2000 watters even. They will punch really far down, that's for sure. As long as you acclimate your corals to the higher intensity I say go for it!
20 feet or so, yes. There's some type of host anemone at the very bottom too, and it just completed a split recently. Not sure at all what species it is..... :?
