tailess damsel

i saved a near death blue damsel a couple of weeks ago and he is doing very well except for his tail fins. he ain't got none. i am wondering if he will grow these back in time.

We rescued our bowtie damsel and she only had one eye and half of her tail fin was gone after being shredded by her tankmates. The tail fin did grow back with a little 'scar' between old and new growth. It shows up in the picture as the whitish line on the lower portion of her tail.

This is a large pic, but you can more easily see her tail.
