Does anyone have an idea the ideal temperature for a non-photosynthetic gorgonian is? Specifically, a blueberry?

It seems that now that I am fighting off high temperatures in my tank, the gorgonian polyps are extended more and more. Normally, I shoot for a lower temperature (say 74-75 F), and let the MH do the rest.

Now that my temps higher, say 79 degrees and up, the polyps are extended more and more. I had observed that the polyps would extend daily around 8 PM or so, after the MH was on the tank for 8 hours, but I thought this could be attributed to natural cycle of the coral.

Anyone have any experience with this?

My seahorse tank is the only tank that I run under 80F. The rest run normally at 80 to 85 but can get up to 88-90 in the real hot weather.
