I do a lot of business consulting in my profession and I know an individual who is considering selling coral and/or other livestock out of a residence.

After doing some research I can't find any special licensing requirements when it comes to fish and/or invertebrates. There are licensing requirements for Petshops but the scope of a petshop (atleast in Michigan) does not appear to include ornamental fish.

Does anyone out there have knowledge in this matter?

Thanks!

Might want to ask in the 'industry behind the hobby forum'

But you do not need any special license to sell ornamentals, now if you want to buy said oranmanetals from a wholesaler most will require a business license of some sort (also a brick & mortar store front). If you want to collect the fish yourself to sell then you need a license for that.

In some cases that is incorrect Mike, it's a state by state call ;) IIRC GA has regs on it, and you do need a special permit.
