Woke up today to find a nicely hollowed and stripped pincushion urchin shell and a pile of spines next to my striped carpet anemone.

That thing is insane...

8O That is insane!! I never would have dreamed any kind of anemone could take on an urchin. that's sweet.


um, imean, sorry for your loss :lol:

...it's true. It came close before (see pic). But I was able to save the urchin by pushing him out with a stick.

Awsome, unless your urchin was algae control. More snails it is.

Excellent pic!! that's straight out of Star Wars. I love this hobby.

What fish are in with the carpet? any other action shots?

Right now I have two Clarks fighting for ownership of the carpet, three Banggai cardinals, and a green chromis.

I also have a cleaner shrimp that likes to hang out dangerously close to the anenome - probably since all the fish are there. So far, no bad news there.

I am redoing my hardwood floors at the moment - so I just moved my tank into the kitchen...that was fun. I'll try to get a shot of the thing eating a shrimp (a full non-shelled shrimp fit for human consumption and then slowly digesting it over a thousand years).

I also heard that a carpet swallow a whole Tang fish.. that person show a picture of the carpet with a fish shape when carpet wrap around the fish..
