Well, I'm now fully esconced in Myrtle Beach, and my corals did NOT make the move well. They were packed for a total of 28 hours, but packed well.

Here's what I have *left*:

column pagoda
baby elegance
all 4 micromussas
acan hemprichii (iffy)
orange crush acan (iffy)
orange acan echinata (iffy)
red & green indo lordhowensis
green japanese lordhowensis
a few lord frags, but all are iffy

Everything else has died.

Starting over isn't fun when you lose $3,000+ worth of livestock.

Just wanted to vent...I'm done now.

Peace,

Chip

Sorry to hear that, Chip. 28 hours is a pretty long haul :( Did you ship them in 100% tank water, or did you mix in some new water?

It was 100% tank water, but I have no fish. Everything was doing so well I didn't even think it would hurt to go with all tank water.

Peace,

Chip

Very sorry to hear about your losses. And to think that I flipped out when I lost a $100 coral. Do you think it was just the length of time in the bags that stressed the corals out?

That really sucks chip. I would have thought that they would have made it.

That blows. I have to move some stuff that I've had for 8 years and I am very scared to do it, but it is either that or watch it be destroyed by aptasia (I've already radioed in for the napalm drop).

That does suck. 28 hours is long, but I would assume they travel that amount of time from the south Pacific to NYC. Good luck restocking.
