hammer with bubble

I dont have a good enough camera or I would get a pic. My hammer is lite pink but on the some tenticles there is a flat rosie area. I thought it was pinched by a crab or something. As I am looking at it the thing swells and moves down the tenticle. I know they can form bubbles when repoducing but this thing seems different.

No it only gets about as big as the end of the tenticle and it keeps its rose color.
