Agaricia

There does not seem to be alot of aquarium related info about this coral. I can find alot of Marine science stuff but that is not helping much. Is it undesirable or just hard to keep? I seem to have got a live piece in bucket of LR and am trying to figgure out how to care for it.

Hi. The reason why Agaricia sp is not written about in this hobby is because it is a stoney coral from the Atlantic, and it's illegal to collect stoney corals or wild rocks from the Caribbean (though they may hitchhike in very small populations).

There are several Pacific stonies that are similiar to Agaricia. You may have something other then Agaricia if your tank is primarily Pacific (e.g. Pacific-based live rock). These types are corals are pretty hardy and grow moderately quickly.
