I traded in some corals and got some new ones. I got a great big rock.

I dont get excited about corals. I fail to see what the hoo haa is about they just sit there and do nothing.

Now the rock thats nice. I take my time buying rock and look for those odd shapes like that one you got. How much did it weigh? Nice shape to it.

My estimate is about 30-35 lbs. It is actually very porous.

hehe you must not be paying attention to the corals. they do anything and everything BUT just sit there. If anything just sits there is the rock...

Tanks looking good how long till you think it will be done? Nother year or so till everything grows in the way ya want?

I want to add some anchor coral to the right side. Then I want to lose the finger leather and build up the left side with an acros and monti's.

Good luck with the Catalaphyllia, it's a beaut! Those are some of my fav corals, and Im sure you know all the issues with keeping them.

3x 175 watt 10K XMs with 2x 40 watt actinic URI NO bulbs.

No problem. Best growth and coral showing I have had yet.


I previously had 20K XMs....growth was slow.


Prior to that I had 5K Ventures...better growth than the 20K's, but less than the 10K XMs.


Plus the 10Ks have great "white" color.
