noisy tank

I have a 75g oceanic reef tank which I've had setup for over four years. It seems now my wife is complaining about the noise from the overflo ( I don't notice it that much) Is there anything I can do to quiet this down and save a marriage or at least save my tank?

What kind of plumbing do you have in your overflow?

I now the AGA standard overflows are very noisy. I re-did mine and installed a "durso standpipe" . Much much quiter.

I build the Durso pipe in less than 1/2 hour. Now my tank is quite and this crisis is averted.
