I doubt he is still alive. Anyone have/had one so old?

It is too bad because it was not too aggressive as far as damsels go.

Bummer. 9 years is pretty good for a small fish.
Had a black convict hit 7 years, one oscar that was 12. Oscar would probally still be kicking but he choked on a turkey bone. Well not sure choked is the right word but it did him in.

One 4 year old gorgeous red oscar that got snuffed when my then 6 year old nephew dumped cereal in the tank one morning and no one saw it till too late.

I'd guess he died of old age.

Gotta be pretty proud keeping anything alive for 9 years. That's along time for Murphy to stay away.

I have a clown fish going on 6 years. (knock on wood)

It would have nine years this August. That fish definately was a trooper. It survived two moves and some periods of less than good water quality.

My tomato clown is the same age. She can be a witch. I never thought that a damsel could go that long. Clowns have been reported to live up to 30 years in captivity. 8O

I had a clown disappear in my 15 for almost a week, I looked all over for the little bugger, just short of ripping the rocks up to find it. He showed up happy as ever never did find out where he was for so long.
