The company used to be based in florida. They moved to Jersey last year, resulting in a serious supply interruption. Since they get the sand in the carribean, I'm not sure how the increased distance from the port in Tampa to a port all the way up the east coast is going to affect distribution. I do know that people are having trouble finding it.
If you live anywhere other than the south-east coastal part of the US I would not go crazy looking for the sand, and just spend the outrageous price for the "aquarium" brand stuff.
