Because of an emergency with the 40g, all the corals and clams went in there on the 11th. About two months earlier than I had planned. All but one survived the transfer. I lost the Idaho Grapes

That I'm not sure. The tank, stand, and canopy were used. It's Robert Dalton's (The Ultimate Reef Aquariums - Paletta) old tank.

Thanks! I'd rather not say, since my wife might read this :lol: It's a LeeMar, with diamond cut seams, 1/2" starpphire glass, and euro-braced. I've been told the tank alone would be $3K new. I don't know if it would really be that much, but I got it for a lot less.

Just as well.. I'm actually out of room until I set up the 120 in Seatlle. I cant help that I'm greedy. :lol: I can only hope they all have good adopted parents now.
Oh! BTW I love the look. I tend to think that most of us are a little partial to the custom shaped tanks.

I've always been a huge fan of cubes. (I have a peninsula myself.)

Not a flame, but, it's hard for me to imagine those three Tangs getting along in there for very long. I'd like to hear what others say, though. :?:

I had the exact same reservation about the tangs, as well. They all seemed to get along without any injuries. I did feel I was pressing my luck with the PBT. Although he was the same length as the Sohal, he had a lot more weight on him. I decided not to push the envelope. The PBT is now the king of a friend's 300g

The Purple and Sohal get along marvelously.

Karl, I love everything about your cube! (Especially the clean inputs/outputs that are alll through the overflow. Great job!) It's awesome. And the small school of chromis looks great too! What frags have you put in there so far?

Thanks, Ranger! Lessons learned were: don't skimp on PVC glue, tighten bulkheads as best you can, and that ball valves are a godsend.

Mike - The diatoms and dinos lasted for about 2 weeks. Now, I just have the usual acoel nuisance. Thanks!

I just can't get over how cool your rocks are. I should say the whole tank, really. I really, really like the look of the higher peaks you accomplished with the rocks. The way your tank looks from the side of the middle picture from your last pic post is my favorite! I'm still trying to find a way to something like that in my tank but 18" of depth can still be a bit constricting! Also, like ranger said, the tank's clean appeal is awesome!

Hey Karl, looking good. Are you using mainly large single pieces of LR for your reef or are they groups of smaller pieces? It looks like you just got some really nice large pieces and that gives the tank a great look. BTW, if you lost your idaho grape I'd be happy to send you a frag as soon as the piece you gave me is big enough to break up. Just let me know if you'd like it.
