This is in my fuge. What is the white hair growing on the macro algae? Is it something bad I need to worry about getting in to my tank?

That's what it looks like to me, the root of the caulerpa next to it, but...

I would be a bit concerned when people call it roots... marine macroalgae has no true root like vascular plant.... I think they are considered as anchor more than anything else.
