What is the best supplier to get a cleanup crew right now. I need to refresh mine desperatley but I have not had good luck with a couple of suppliers. They either flake out or are completely out of stock and never get back to me. I have had good luck with etropicals in the past but wanted to know what other good suppliers there are. Thanks!

I always try to by my snails and whatnot at my local LFS. That way you can just buy a few at a time and there is no shipping cost.

Adding a large cleanup crew at one time isn't really a good idea IMHO. And usually when you order them on-line, you do order a large crew to help justify the shipping costs.

Do you have any decent LFS's around you?

Yeah I have some good LFS around me (Seattle area). I can understand why you would not want to add a bunch at one time. I just haven't replenished my crew in so long it seems like I have hardly any crabs left although they do hide well. It seemed like because I didn't have much that ordering an abundance online seemed to be the cheaper way to go. I am starting to get a hair algae problem (another issue all together) and have been manually removing it for some time now and I thought a good amount of crabs might help me with a little bit of that. I will check out some prices at the LFS and see if they are reasonable. I know last time I went to buy emerald crabs they were over 10 bucks a piece.

My club does big orders from KeysCritters.com. With a large enough volume you can get astreas for about 23 cents each. They individually bag and name each persons order, which is pretty darn convenient.

Check out IPSF.com. The site doesn't look like much, but their stuff is very high quality. I have ordered from them twice and plan on ordering from them many more times in the future. They have some unique things you wont find anywhere else, the customer service is great, and everything i've received has been really healthy. They also like to throw freebies into orders. Last time I got a great pulsing xenia, which could easily cost $30 at an LFS. Anyway, they have different reef cleaner packages, and refresher packages, but the best deal is their 9 for $99 deal. There is a list of choices from which you choose 9, and the total billed cost is $99. That includes packing and overnight shipping. Good luck with whoever you go with.

I also have used reeftopia and keyscritters. Keyscritters is the cheapest, and service was good. I also did the club buy with keyscritters which broke down shipping and made it very cheap for everyone.

Reeftopia.com sends nice sized critters but sometimes you order 100 and only get 80 alive. JME otherwise I was totally happy with them.
