Well it's been a bad week for my tank. Over the weekend, a chemi-clean treatment killed 4 acro frags, and now my tank is somehow leaking. I did a water change on Sunday night, but it went normally. No stress on the tank or anything. Monday night I got home from work and saw water on the stand around my tank. I dried it up and checked the tank and everything attached to it. No leaks or wet spots anywhere. I hoped it was just water spilled during the water change that I hadn't noticed. Yesterday morning, more water on the stand. I looked around my tank more thoroughly this time, checked the back with a flashlight, and felt everything with my hands. Everything was dry and I couldn't find a leak or drip anywhere. After work last night I got home and even more water was on the stand. The only thing I can guess is one of the bottom seams is leaking under the tank, and it is seeping out. What a pain this is going to be. Somehow between work and fathers day I will have to completely tear the tank down. (Plus I am going to ohio on business for 2 weeks monday morning, so I need to prepare for that) Luckily my brother just installed a MH over his 40, so I will put most of my livestock in there and the rest in my nanocube. What a pain. Anyway, assuming it is one of the bottom seams leaking, would it be feasible to just put a ring of silicone along the inside and outside seams? Or is it time to trash the tank? :?
