I sold my Powder Blue last night, so I just have the Purple Tang and Sohal Tang.

I'm having difficulty searching for reef-safe fish and critters that are also Red Sea endemic. I'm open to suggestions :D

TIA

Here's some fish I'd get for a Red Sea biotope:

Pseudochromis fridmani Orchid dottyback:there's a lot of nice Red Sea dottybacks, but this one is the friendliest

Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis: not many fairy wrasses in the red sea

Paracheilinus octotaenia: A very robust, gorgeous flasher wrasse. i'd get a pair.

Pseudanthias squamipinnis: nice hardy, beautiful anthias

Amphiprion bicinctus clownfish

Bodianus opercularis :) Rare, expensive, but gorgeous and unmistakable

Genicanthus caudovittatus pair: I am a big Genicanthus angelfish fan

If you want a challenge (and a slight reef-safe risk):
Pygoplites diacanthus Regal angelfish

OFF TOPIC and FYI, it's spelled Voilà.

Thanks for the list, Len. I'm considering a small group (3) of Orchid Dottybacks. I don't want to increase my fishload too much. I love that Zebra Angel, but I don't want to buy something I can't hide in my bank statement  .

I think I picked up one of these guys at a LFS that had just opened up today. It was listed as an eightline wrasse for $38.

I'll try and snap some pics the next time I see him. He just darted straight for the rock after introduction.

Just get the Red Sea orange-tail Imperator and call it a day, man.

Midas blenny.

There are a whole bunch of Halichoeres spp. wrasses on there that would absolutely rock. H. iridis is a great reef fish.

Red Sea Zebra angels aren't that expensive.

Meiacanthus nigrolineatus. Look up pictures of this fish. Very cool, totally reef safe, and peaceful.

Dendrochirus brachypterus. Dwarf lion. They only get about 3 or 4 inches long in captivity. I've had mine with some cleaner shrimp for about a year now. They are a threat to really small shrimp but totally worth it IMO.
