I have a 75g tank with 5 fish,a few corals, and plenty of live rock. I'm selling everything I've got to a neighbor and would only have to transfer through back yards. Any advice on moving everything without breaking the whole tank down to the point of starting from scratch and recycling the whole thing?

Their will be no reason to recycle.

1. Make 50% new salt water
2. Remove corals and fish into holding container(s) with tank water
3. Remove live rock into differnt container(s) with tank water
4. Remove tank water untill just above substrate, do not disturb the substarit
5. Toss sand in trash
6. Move tank, clean it with plain water while you have the chance, no chems
7. Add new substrate if you like
8. add new water
9. add live rock
10. acclamate fish and corals to new tank water
11. add corals and fish
12. top off tank with old tank water

If during the tear down you really get the water dirty let it settle out. Do not syphon the water from the substrate.

This will take longer than you think and will be a bt of work. Make sure you have help. On the container side get more than you think you will need. You will need atleast one to use as a transfer container.
