I am new is the something to read how to use this site and setup my profile?

Just go to the very top under where it says Reef.org Bulletin Board and click on Profile and you can set it up.

You can also post your tank specs in this forum: http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=23

That way, if you have questions regarding your tank, you don't have to type out all your tank specs each time and can simply point someone to your system thread.

I've been wanting to add a picture to myprofile, but I can't get anything small
enough to meet the file maximum?.

You should be able to reduce the file size to fit as an avatar using programs like photoshop. Or you can host it off-site.

I've now increased the avatar size to 40kb.
