I just sat the thing on the brace. I should have siliconed it. I will post some more shots. The hood is pretty much as it is when I first posted it previous pages. I will post a pic of the sump in full operation with my macro algae growing.
So it's not attached? 8O

I'm just talking about how you removed the glass center brace on your tank. How did you attach that aluminum piece to the trim at the top?

Make sense? :)

not really attached, but it is on there. it just fits on like a sock. I sold put some silicone on it. I will do that soon, but its not a really easy job getting that hood off. Pretty heavy. Need atleast 2 people, best to have 3 people.

The glass center brace was just siliconed in. Take a razor blade and cut it out. Really easy to get out.

I am feeling not so hot about my tank right now. I have a microbubble problem that I am trying to solve. I have a little bit of micro algae growth.

I hit some small road bumps that I need to take care of.

Plus, I am in the market for a new skimmer. Right now I am doing a RC mod on my current ES5-2. Buying a new skimmer will take place sometime after X-Mas, for obvious reasons.

Or maybe if I am on Santa's Good list, I might receive one.

Thank you for wanting to see my tank!

How are you liking the undergravel wavemaker nozzels that you put in the front of the tank? The micro bubble problem is probably just to small of a sump (or not enough baffles). I think we all have that problem. :D

Double post.... Its my way of getting my post numbers up more quickly so I too can become a squat.

Or maybe just a bad habit of double clicking everything.

Trido,

I like the sand nozzels, though somtimes I have a problem with them being uncovered because of my very fine sand and high flow in my tank.

You may be right about the sump. I have a huge amount a flow through it. I have very little ditritus built up, however, the left of the protein skimmer, you will see a baffel where the water comes up and creates a few bubbles.

I am brainstorming someways to fix it.

I am going to turn the flow down on my main return pump to see if it is the sump that is causing this problem or if it was a bad plumbing job on my part.

I need more corals before I put some pics up. You can donate money via paypal: [email protected] :D
Come on, post pics! We didn't even get close-ups! :D

They are not the best close up. I dont have a beast SLR. Just a point and shoot cannon.
