I'm thinking only a few kinds of anemones and box jellies? :)

I have a chance to take a short trip next week, and I was figuring between San Antonio or South Padre. I'll have my child with me, so if we choose South Padre it will indeed be for the ocean and all it's fun, and not the typically associated night life... would I see any cool fish, or just green algae?

Sergeant majors, peppermint shrimp , blennies, juveniles of all kinds of fish. Really neat small anemones , kelp etc. Might be a tad late for the huge sargassum drifts but you can find all kinds of critters in there including juvenile sargassum anglers.
