I have two candy canes that are doing great and splitting but they have this 'grass' all over them except the polyps. It is almost impossible to remove. It looks like thin green wires and feels like wires. It is as if they have roots imbedded in the skeleton. It does not grow long enough to get a hold of other than by finger tips. When you pull real hard you get some but I can not even clear a small patch. I do not know if it is algea but that is my assumption. It was on my rock but I replaced all my rock 2 months ago. So now it is just on the candy cane. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it. It does not grow on sand or glass. I was thinking of covering it below the polyps so that it would not get any light.
