where can i find one at a good price? Anyone want to trade for a birdsnest frag (larger than superman of course)....Just starting to get into limited type stuff.. so not much to actually TRADE.

Anyone out there? PM ME.. since this isnt a market place

Mine is still too small, or otherwise I'd help you out. To get one from others, you'll probably have to offer a bit more for these guys since they're usually fetching ~$100 per tiny frag last time i checked :?

Dude, I offerend you a smokin' deal on a true superman not too long ago. Unfortunately, Chip's got dibs on it now.

There are some wild ones out there, but vendors are charging an arm and a leg for them. The sad part is they don't retain their color like the original.

here's a pic of my fake superman, sorry not allowed to frag it for resale, since this is a club project (maybe down the line though) :) Unfortunately the pic was taken with a crappy pocket sized 2MP camera with no appreciable macro-mode on it... that and I'm certain there was a brown patch of diatoms right on the acrylic infront of the frag :)

Where can you get them? I think many of the online places that deal with rarer frags can probably get you a piece, how "cheap" it is.. who knows. Karl probably would be my first bet to ask where to find a piece, since he seems to have his pulse on the rare/collector side of things. (edit: whoops, see what happens when I take too long to respond.. Karl jumps in ahead of que! ;))

That's a nice piece, Mike. I really like it, and it kind of irks me that it became a fake superman rather than something else on its own leg.

Most of those aquacultured ones lose the coloration in the polyps, but yours still has it. Sweet!

Thanks Karl, talk to Norman if you're itching to get a piece this came from him infact he even claims that this is quite a fast grower, we'll have to see :)

Thanks, but not looking to add one.

The new tank has a strict policy, now: Rare, tank-cultured pieces only :D

Gotcha ;) Just make sure to buy up everything rare at the CFM since I don't want to be tempted with expensive corals ;)

I've set aside a small budget  I'm really just looking forward to seeing all the collectors from this side of the coast, again :P

Don't cry over the LPS just yet...they didn't exactly hit my tank looking like that. Hopefully they'll color up...

Peace,

Chip
