will a Mag Float 125 be strong enough to clean 1/2 inch glass? I have the smaller one, but it just doesnt stick together enough to clean the inside very well.

Is there somthing more effective out there?

Thanks,

B.

There are definitely MagFloats that will work. I use a magfloat on a 4' deep acrylic tank. I think it's an inch and a half thick.

I have the Hammerhead, and I love it. Some might say that it's not enough for 1/2", but I've never had a problem with it. It's actually a good weekly workout

I have a cheapo floating magnet that works well on light algae like diatoms but struggles with the tougher stuff, I sprung for a Tunze heavy duty magnet, doesnt float but works with a cord. Nothing escapes that!
My glass is 12mm (1/2") The Tunze is very powerful and i struggle to seperate the two magnets....

The MagFloat 125 is probably too small. I even found the 350 not strong enough, but the problem is the 500 is way too strong. I ended up with Algae Free Tiger which is perfect for my 1/2" glass (a bit strong, but still relatively easy to use). The Hammerhead might be better.
