Repair Powerheads?

My 9 month old rio 600 has quit working. Is it possible to repair them? I have dismantled it up to the point where I think I would have to break plastic to get into the internals. Am I missing something or is there no way to fix the internals? ( months before it seized up. I cleaned them at least once a month too. Friggin pieces of crap.

Rios quit working, its what they do.
I would just throw it out and buy a different brand.

Besides the impeller portion of it, there is nothing you can do about the magnet coil. As they always says, there is no user serviceable part inside. You should not need to break plastic to make common repair. What's wrong with it.?

They do sell the impeller and magnet part as a replacement part. Dont know how much, but I can find out if you need a price.

no the impeller and magnet are fine, it is the internal that isn't working. Like I said, I can't fix anything that is outside of it. It has to be something internal, hence the breaking plastic piece. If there is nothing that can be done on the external, which I don['t believe there is, then it is trash. 9 months, what a friggin waste.

The internal contains no moving part, just a long copper wire around an iron core, and potted with black epoxy. Even if you crack it open, it is not worth fixing.

You can save the magnet and the impeller and sell them or give them away. They are consumeables, and many people may want them to replace worn out part.
