I heard from the LFS that all collection from hawaii will be cut off for 10 years. Is that true?

I think you put too much stock in how large our industry really is. HI does more $$$ in a few months chocalte coverred macadamia nuts, then a year of MO collections.
That being said, and having worked in wholesale for a long time (still with deep connections), I haven't heard a peep about it and I highly doubt it. There was talk of shutting down a collection area, but not the entire island. There was a new MPA created, but it's no where near where most the MO is collected.

Yah, most of that area has been off limits for years.
