I have various Montipora corals they all seem to be growing fine but the digita is breaks very easy. The slightest bump will break it. I use a kalk reactor and dose with c-balance per directions, my calcium level is around 460. What am I doing wrong. The colony that it was given to me from did not break that easy was alot thicker.

I thnk the branches will grow thicker in higher current, but I've always found digitada to be very brittle. Mine breaks if I just look at it funny

i agree. mine has grown in decent current and to frag it I literally have to hold it and snap it in my hands.

Digitata has always been very fragile for me no matter what the conditions I keep it in are. I have even seen my sailfin tang break it by swimming into it during a careless feeding frenzy.

yeah digitada is just like that. So brittle. Try shipping the stuff! You can ship a whole colony without it breaking alittle.

Random low velocity/high flow on a colony will help.
