I have a tri color valida and I know there are numerous types of three colored monti sp and so forth, but I have never heard of a tri color millepora. Today while I was working on my collapsing tank lol ( ) I noticed my millepora was green with green polyps at the base, raspberry with raspberry polyps in the middle and blue with blue polyps at the tip. Is this common? My gold mille and green mille aren't like that they are same color throughout. Just thought it was very very pretty and was curious since I hear or read of differing tri-colors of other types, but not Acropora milleporas. I will try to post a pic tomorrow, but I have a terrible time getting my white balance to match the tanks lights. I will try though.

Don't know about common but different parts of a coral can easily change color depending upon the lighting. I have a millepora that started out all light blue, the tips of all the coralites are blue, the branches are a cream colored, and I just noticed that around the base where it's a bit shaded is now green!

I also have a green millepora that has turned red still some green in there.

Unsure how common it is though.
