I am kinda worried though, after putting him in the tank he dove into a barnicle. He is breathing kinda hard too. I saw him in the LFS and inquired about him. He was a little skinny and he offered it to me for 15 dollars. I asked him if the fish ate, he put some spectrum in and the fish ate right away. A good sign, so I took him in. I guess we will see when I get Home tomorrow.
Thanks Andy

Give him a few weeks to fully acclimate to the tank.

What other fish are in there?

Peace,

Chip

I hope you are kidding about the triggers and maroons - unless they are very small and housed in a big tank. The little hogfish likes it kinda' peaceful. :)

Honestly Andy, I am thinking of taking the trigs out, it will open the door wider for me later on down the road. If you go over to the photo corner you can see some fish under my 150 gal. tank.

I love Pink tail and blue throat triggers, but I think I would remove them and deff I would remove the clown trigger if you are going to keep inverts. I bet that coral banded shrimp is a nervous wreck. You have some very nice fish, man. The dragon wrasse and tuskfish are very cool too.

I would remove the dragon wrasse and the pinktail trigger. I've had both of these fish in the past, and they are destructive to both livestock and rock. We had a dragon wrasse come thru the shop once that was pushing 15" and could move fist-sized rocks with little trouble.

Same thing with the pinktail...I had a 10" one at one time that was a terror...MOST aggressive toward anything, including a 20" panther grouper he was in with.

I wouldn't add a candy hog to that tank.

Peace,

Chip

The picture that you guys are refering to is my old 150, before hurricane Katrina. I lost all the triggers, harliquin, dragon, tangs, and angles. I have bought most of them back minus the pinktail and plan to buy a very small hariquin ( about 3" ) I do have the odmous, blue jaw, and clown triggers. they are juvies. These are the ones I am thinking of taking out to open up the tank
When first introduced, I was worried about the shrimp, They held there own and the fish dont bother them now, The blue jaw tried to eat one and the shrimp came off the rock and grabbed the trigger with the pinchers on the cheeck. the trigger hasnt bother them since

And how, last year I went to HOLOVER inlet and found some really large sally lightfoots, The bodies alone were bigger than a half dollar. I tried to put one in the 150 tank with the bigger fish. The crab didnt make it to the bottom or to the rocks, I was hoping thet it was big enough to hold its own and keep the algea down. six fish tore it apart. so i do know what happens when the trigs get bigger.
Now I just have to try to gst my money back on the fish 8O

Do tell the where and how, my friend. I'm interested in freebies for the tank.

Peace,

Chip :)

I just pick them off the rocks and out of the grass at low or out going tide. You should have plenty of places there around boat landings or docks. If there are jetties on the beach or retaining walls look on the backside.
