hi all, i have a 6x2x2 tank and have just bought a 2x150w halide unit
and would like to know if this will be enough light for a reef tank, i would
like to keep sps, lps, and soft corals, i also have 6 power compact t5's and about 15 t5's
any help would be great

Thanks

If you are looking to keep SPS I would at least go with 3 x 250W HQI's.

Usually a MH can cover 2 ft of tank. The depth of your tank I dont think 150W's would be enough.

For a 180 gallon tank, 150's aren't enough to keep most SPS. You may be able to get away with a green slimer acropora or a few montiporas up top, but that's it.

150's with supplemental T5s or PCs will be fine for all LPS and softies, though.

Peace,

Chip
