I've been running my new 75 g system on an aquaC remora... just because its what I had from my old tank. Works fairly well btw, but I feel like I need more skimmer before adding a few more fish.. only 2 now.

What am I looking for? :) I'd LIKE to have one that I can use on the outside of my sump if possible.. or 2nd choice IN SUMP.

Someone here got me thinking about upgrading recently haha.

well lets get to the "you feel like you need more skimming" issue. What fish do you have that 2 of them makes you feel like you need more?

Personally I'm done with crap/budget skimmers (Coralife, AquaC, Etc), I'll continue to use for a while but if I see a used one of a good brand I'm jumping all over it.

That being said most skimmers I have played with require the water level to be at a constant level in order to skim well. Sometimes people don't have baffles or dividers as such and the water level rises/falls and the skimmer output does the same thing.

That all being said I would get one that's rated at least twice your current tank volume, that should give you plenty of give for adding new fish. As to which brands specifically, well being as I've only used the cheaper/budgetted skimmers I can't really give you a good answe.r

It isnt that I need one now .. but I want to increase bioload some :) You get the picture.

My REMORA is a GREAT skimmer, but I just don feel comfortable with it on 75g of water.
