candycane coral

my candycane coal has always been really full and puffy. now its all shrunk up, i have had it for 3 weeks. does candycane coral do this from time to time, or not. water is fine, hardness is a little high, going to change filters in ro later today.

What lighting and flow do you have it under? How far away from the light is it?

2 150. watt mh and 2 96 watt blue actinics. also have 2 aqua clear 70 power heads. and a mag 9 hooked up to a closed loop system. 55 gallon tank. candycanes are 3/4th the way down.

Sounds good there...all parameters test out okay?

may be the flame angel. they have been all closed for 3 days now. water is fine. the kh is still alittle high but none of the other corals in the tank seem to have a problem.

just an update. i took the flame angel out of the tank that had the candy cane coral, and now the candy is starting to reopen.
