F flanders Experienced Reefer Rating - 0% 0 0 0 Jul 11, 2006 #3 yes this is my first tank and i diddnt fully appreciate the HUGE advantage of getting a predrilled tank so i am stuck with this contraption their is a tube commming out of the top that starts a syphen fromt he front to the back where a tube drops it to the sump the issue is that the middle part cant be reached by any save plastic man and i cant figure out how to clean out the gunk and keep it at full flow

A Anonymous Guest Rating - 0% 0 0 0 Jul 11, 2006 #4 mechanical: Use a brush with floss/string attached to both ends. chemical: soak the whole box in mild vinegar solution overnight, and blast it with garden hose afterward. Appearantly, those that design these overflow never think about the ease of cleaning.
