redoing my sump setup to account for more stuff, and heard that you can use weather stipping to hold dividers in places instead of siliconing (sp?) them... has anyone heard/tried them? is there a certain kind i should avoid? pls advise!!! thanks

Ya, any weather stripping along the edges will hold baffles in place. Any kind should be fine; it's usually just rubber or some other inert plastic material. The baffles will have to be fairly precisely cut so that it wedges in tightly after the weather stripping is attached on the side edges.

hey man

i just tried the weather stripping thing and it DID NOT work for me. I could NOT get it to stay in place while I installed baffles.

I ended up just using silicon.

thanks i was playing around with this and didn't seem to get the snug fit with it i was looking for so now im off to the home depot for some silicone, so will try that, i assume the cure time should be met before adding water???

The baffles should only be 1/8" smaller than the sump width. If you use weatherstripping that is about 3/8", it should be a really tight fit. use water to get it to be a little slippery and push it in. Should stay in that position, though, unless you did something different.
