ok so i was bad and couldnt wait to add my regal tang to my tank and well showing signs of ick little white dots should i try and snacth him out and put him in a 10 gallon tank i have. well all life as i no it die over time if i dont get to the bottom of this soon thanks

For me personally, I keep a 10 gallon tank running with copper at all times. I keep the ph, sg, and temp the same as my display. When I see a sick fish I take him out and put him in the qt. Since I set up the qt I onyl used it once. It was for my sailfin tang and fox face. I saved them both and still have them today. Except for the fox face, I took him back to the fish store to lower my bio load.

With all that being said, even if it is a fish only I would remove him. After all it cost much less to medicate a 10 gallon vs 55, 75, or whatever you have. This is just my 2 cents though others may disagree, but it has worked for me.

yellow tang,regal tang pair clown fish, lawnmower bleeny, 2 cleaner shrimp, 2 peppermint and 2 hermit crabs. pink tip anemone, pulsing xena,and 2 unknow. 90 gallon sumpless with about 1300 gph circulation. the system is only 3 months old,with 80 pounds of live rock. it looks kind of bare right now but want to buy slow

Nice tank! If you can catch that fish a qt tank w/copper will work. What is your salinity? I had a clown with some ick and my salinity was 1.024. Tried to catch it but I couldn't. I lowered it to 1.021 and it went away in about 2 weeks. Corals still looked good, including my sps stuff. I keep the salinity at about 1.022 now.
