WOW.. that was brutal. Way cool of course. They are so fast you can barely see the movements when they strike. Man that was cool.

LOL...I didn't scroll down, I just clicked on the link. After about half the video, I thought to myself "I can't help feel sorry for the crab, but it's the circle of life."

Then I scrolled down and saw Len's comment. :lol:

LOL.. and I was going to scream "HOW INHUMANE!!" LOL.

Seemed like the crab knew it was a gonner. It didnt even try to hide or get away. Excellent display of predator and prey.. Muahaha.

Will a Mantis eat all inverts? I would like to get one but I like my shrimp & emerald crabs.

Let me know.

ps....that was an awesome video though.

If you like your shrimp and crabs, don't get a mantis. Mantis shrimp are great pets, but best in their own tank.

Mantis will kill fish too. They're really efficient killing machines. Definitely best in their own, seperate tank.

They can do okay in sumps, provided it is lit and the mantis is sectioned off from equipment. I don't think it's the best idea, but it can be made to work.
